Meet the Farmer Florist

It all started with a desire for something more. I yearned to feel better – emotionally, mentally and physically. The last 15 years I have owned and operated a medical spa alongside my sweet mama. Together, alongside a fantastic team, we built a wildly successful business. Although immensely grateful to have it become so successful, my body, mind and soul started to suffer from the long hours and high levels of stress.

In 2014 I began to have some debilitating chronic pain and a body riddled with anxiety. I continued down this path of searching for answers and trying to heal. In 2018 I finally found some answers and a physician that was willing to help. Although I began to feel better physically, I continued to have the strain on my mental and emotional health. I knew there had to be a better way, and that meant planning to make some changes.

In late 2019 I was online and came across a course on Flower Farming by Floret Flowers. I was intrigued by the idea of cultivating my own blooms and then getting to arrange them and sell them to customers. My soul was yearning to be outdoors after spending the last 15 years mostly inside, so this opportunity really excited me. I completed my course, bought some seeds and garden tools, and went to work!

The first year I grew some plants, killed more plants, and learned quite a bit of what not to do! Regardless of how challenging it was, I absolutely loved it. I couldn’t wait to get out of bed everyday and check on the flowers. It brought a peacefulness to my life that the typical entrepreneur gig wasn’t giving me. Enter 2020, and Cocoa Bella Flower Co. was born.

Alongside my husband Mike, we began to cultivate some of the most beautiful flowers I had ever seen. Not only were they beautiful, but they weren’t riddled with chemicals as we use organic practices to grow them.

Fast forward to 2023 and we now offer weekly bouquet subscriptions from May to October, on farm you-pick events, and floral design services for weddings and special events. There is something so magical about a seed to vase or ceremony concept, and we truly love what we get to do. We are thrilled to bring organically grown florals to the Pueblo community and can’t wait to share the beauty with all of you!
